What’s on my Workdesk?  Well, I’ve been having some serious mojo problems lately.  I’ve been trying to get some Christmas cards made for a while now.  But I’m just having a lot of trouble sitting down and concentrating on doing them.

So I thought I would change “workdesks”.  I brought my scrappy stuff up to my Inlaws kitchen table.  I thought it might help get me going.  Well, I took almost a week!  Then I finally just turned on some Christmas music to get me into the mood and sat down and started creating!

I managed to get twelve cards done!  I was quite proud of myself.  But I still have about six more to make.

I don’t know why I do this to myself.  For the last few years I’ve posted on my Facebook to my friends asking who would like a handmade Christmas card from me.  I didn’t want to spend a lot of time making a card for someone that didn’t want one.  Well, I ended up getting way more response than I expected.  Each year I get almost 30 responses!  Yikes!  What did I get myself into?

And of course they can’t be just any kind of cards.  I really have to put my all into them.  Hopefully I can finish them BEFORE Christmas!

  1. For the past month, i too have totally lost my mojo to make cards!!!! Just a few, not many but this time of year always gets me down… Managed to put the tree up but tomorrow I will try your way and bring my stuff upstairs and try some Elvis Christmas tunes. Thanks for the idea and hope you have happy holidays filled with lost of love and cheer!!!

  2. Glad your Christmas mojo has come back. I don’t find it easy to make Christmas cards, but once I got started I really enjoyed doing it. Twelve is a good number to have done.
